Lisa McNaughtonLisa McNaughton

Growing up, my family taught me to always stand up, speak up and fight for yourself and always do the same for those who are not able to fight for themselves. I believe this value led me to become an attorney. I focus on representing personal injury victims and workers’ compensation clients because these individuals are at their most vulnerable unexpectedly. While they endure suffering, their rights need strong protection and a voice to fight for their best interests, especially when facing todays’ culture of corporate entities. While they focus on healing, I focus on achieving the best possible result for their situation.” -Lisa A. McNaughton

Lisa A. McNaughton is an associate attorney with Morgan and Murphy, LLP. In 2005, she began her career in the legal industry as a paralegal in a small firm assisting workers’ compensation clients. Assisting injured clients’ day to day and being a mother motivated her to study law.

Attorney McNaughton obtained a B.A. in Philosophy, magna cum laude from Rhode Island College in Providence, RI in 2011. She was elected to membership in the Rhode Island Gamma Chapter of Phi Sigma Tau, International Honor Society in Philosophy. Attorney McNaughton performed volunteer hours in connection with her focused study of Ethics, assisting disabled children take therapeutic horseback lessons. Protecting vulnerable kids from falling off their horses, while giving parents an hour of free time to themselves was a pleasure to Attorney McNaughton.

The path to law school emerged when Attorney McNaughton was offered an Academic Trustee Scholarship and a Bevilacqua Scholarship from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts, where she received a J.D. in 2017. During her last year of law school, Attorney McNaughton served as a Rule 3:03 Certified Student Attorney, zealously prosecuting criminal matters at the District Court level.

Attorney McNaughton is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Trial Courts and the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts. She has extensive experience representing clients facing wrongful termination, discrimination and sexual harassment in the employment context prior to joining Morgan and Murphy, LLP.

A native of Rhode Island, in her free time Attorney McNaughton enjoys spending time with her family and friends, preferably by the ocean. She enjoys live music, photography, local news and politics, and going to Red Sox games.
